Understanding the “People’s Court:” The Nuts and Bolts of Small Claims Court

November 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us for a discussion about Pennsylvania’s minor courts where individuals can resolve disputes typically involving smaller amounts of money or property. In this presentation, attendees will hear directly from Magisterial District Judges on specific work they do, what warrants taking legal action, what you should prepare for court, and the expectations inside a courtroom.

This workshop will be presented by Judge Hilary Wheatley.

This workshop will be hosted by The Allegheny County Law Library, and takes place in the Job & Career Education Center on the 2nd floor of CLP-Main Library. Registration is recommended for in person attendance, and required for virtual access (please use the links below to register via Zoom).
